This four-year course is envisioned to develop among students critical and logical analysis of national and international concerns regarding the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services and the financial basis of these activities and their implications in social welfare.

Objectives

1. To prepare economics students for future careers in business, government and academe through formal instruction and exposure to the community.

2. To provide learning experiences which shall hone students’ potentials for research undertakings and prepare them for research related jobs. To conduct researches for economic growth and development.

3. To assist the college/university pursue its extension programs and undertake extension activities which are geared towards economic growth and development of communities.

4. To assist in and/or participate in income generating activities in order to enhance the resource capabilities of the college.
